At Big Canyon, we believe every bowl of food should do more than nourish—it should give back.

That’s why we commit 5% of all net profits to causes we care deeply about, and we’re guessing you do as well: animal welfare and environmental protection. From supporting rescue shelters and adoption efforts to funding sustainability projects that protect the planet we share; every purchase helps create a better world for pets and people alike.

Funding charitable organizations isn’t an afterthought for us, it’s part of who we are. The first two organizations we are excited to contribute to are: Love Leo Rescue and Peninsula Open Space Trust.

Love Leo Rescue

Love Leo is a non-profit dog rescue based in Los Angeles. They (as do we) believe all dogs deserve a second chance.

Their amazing team is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abused, injured, abandoned, and forgotten dogs. They also hold free spay and neuter clinics in both El Monte, CA and Tijuana, Mexico.

Peninsula Open Space Trust

Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) is a nonprofit land trust dedicated to protecting open space on the San Francisco Peninsula and in the South Bay. Since its founding in 1977, POST has safeguarded over 90,000 acres of natural landscapes. This work helps preserve the region’s biodiversity, enhance climate resilience, and ensure public access to natural areas.

Their efforts support connectivity for wildlife, allowing animals to move safely between habitats, and protect vital ecosystems from urban development. Their initiatives conserve the environment, provide recreational opportunities, and promote sustainable agriculture. POST fosters a network of protected lands where people and nature can thrive.
